Linda Nathan, Headmaster, holds a Doctorate of Education from Harvard University, a Master’s in Education Administration from Antioch University, and a Master’s of Performing Arts from Emerson College. She was instrumental in starting Boston’s first performing arts middle school; a driving force behind the creation of the city’s first middle college high school (Fenway High School); and a co-founder and senior associate of the Center for Collaborative Education-Metro Boston, an education reform organization. From 1995 to 1998, Dr. Nathan served on the National Academy of Science’s Commission of the Science of Learning, and was honored in 1990 by Chronicle (Channel 5) as a Massachusetts Teacher of Year. She is currently a guest lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Arts in Education program and is teaching a course in Building Democratic Schools.
